Studies have shown that one of the greatest drivers of success in a therapeutic context is the quality of the relationship between practitioner and client - specifically the level of trust present. First and foremost, it is my intention to ensure that you feel heard, understood and valued in our work together. As a yoga therapist, I strive to meet every person with compassion and openness, so as to be a clear channel for the exact support you need to present itself.

My greatest passions in this field have come from my own ongoing path of trauma healing, navigating chronic pain and dis-ease, creating a meaningful spiritual life, and committing myself to personal growth and joy. Over the years, I've turned life's darkest moments into a mission: to be a loving presence for all who need; to support those who have experienced trauma on their healing path; to educate on the profound power of mindfulness and movement for balanced health; and to meet people where they're at on the road to physical, emotional and spiritual wholeness.

From my personal healing work and learning the stories of many others, I've come to believe that approaching health and wellbeing holistically is not only effective, but essential. Humans are multidimensional beings and must be treated as such; we are much more than diagnoses or even singular life events. With your permission, I will always ask to hear the full story, because I care, and it's important.

My work is informed by the lineage and teachings of T. K. V. Desikachar within which I have primarily trained and studied, as well as Gary Kraftsow's Viniyoga principles. Spending fourteen months in the yoga ashrams of living teacher Rishi Maha Mandaleshwar Sri Shambhavananda, a lineage holder within Kashmir Shaivism, has also greatly influenced my philosophy and meditation practice. I am indebted to Konalani Yoga Ashram teacher trainers Satyam Ehinger and Abhaya Goldstein who, utilizing Tom Meyers' theory of Anatomy Trains, profoundly impacted my understanding of human anatomy and biomechanics. Finally, my methods are enriched exponentially by Stephen Porges' Polyvagal Theory, the Hakomi Method and its principles, and the liberating philosophies of Buddhism, which I will surely spend lifetimes contemplating.

In my free time I enjoy spending time in the outdoors, cooking, cycling, reading anatomy textbooks, and keeping my houseplants alive.
